Ultra vend technology works by infra red beams of light that criss crosses over the drop product bin. If the product does not drop and pass through the infra red sensor, then the machine will know it has not successfully dropped the product. Within the 10-12 second time frame, the computer will give a credit to the customer and ask to make another selection. There is no fail-proof system that ensures every product drop in a vending machine but this new technology helps ensure that the customer will walk away with their purchase.
